MAGNETAR V2

A complete master-insert processor for low-end authority, transient weight and adaptive spectral focus, with four RESOLVE styles, learned STABILITY, an independent limiter and measurable input/output analysis.

Quick Start

  1. Insert MAGNETAR on the master, matrix or music bus after corrective EQ.
  2. Set SUBSTANCE and IMPACT first; make the foundation feel more authoritative before it feels louder.
  3. Choose a RESOLVE style, raise its amount until congestion clears or the intended focus appears, then use GLOW and DRY/WET to finish the four-control CORE path.
  4. Start ASCEND at 100%, its calibrated reference point. Move toward 200% only when additional compression, density and width improve the mix.
  5. For STABILITY, play a representative section, press LEARN, wait at least two seconds, then press again. Raise STABILITY only after PROFILED appears.
  6. Use the power control beside each knob to audition that stage. Enable LIMITER only when final peak containment is required, then A/B at matched level.

Main Controls

RESOLVE Styles

RESOLVE is programme-dependent and spectrally selective. The four styles are different processing behaviours, not cosmetic labels, and their state is stored with the session and presets.

Latency And Host PDC

The delay is intentionally stable so the host does not rebuild compensation when a processing stage is bypassed.

Recommended Workflow

  1. Tune the PA or master first; MAGNETAR is not a repair tool for a broken balance.
  2. Increase one control at a time and verify the result against bypass at matched loudness.
  3. Use ASCEND at 100% as the normal starting point. The 100-200% region is an intentional extended range, not a requirement.
  4. Learn STABILITY from a representative section, not an intro, breakdown or isolated transient. Learning remains outside the audio path and adds no latency.
  5. Keep limiter drive at 0 dB until the musical processing is complete, then add only the peak containment the master needs.
  6. Use less on acoustic material and already-limited masters; stronger settings suit deliberate electronic and playback workflows.
